Cool Photo: U.S. Navy F/A Super Hornet Launches From Aircraft Carrier In The Arabian Sea

A U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft launches from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) while in the Arabian Sea on January 26, 2012.

The Super Hornet is attached to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22 and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17.

He served aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War and he later served two years aboard the Navy harbor tugboat U.S.S. Saugus at the U.S. floating nuclear submarine base at Holy Loch, Scotland. He went on to do security work as a Defense Department civilian while working part-time as a freelance writer.
