Ole 'Dutch' Would Have Approved: The 'Justified' Finale And Producer Graham Yost on Who Survived — and Those Elmore Leonard Tributes
My wife and I enjoyed watching the finale of the TV series Justified tonight.
We've been watching Justified for the entire six seasons and we felt that the ending was done very well and in keeping with the unique style of the late great crime writer, Elmore "Dutch" Leonard.
Marisa Roffman at the Hollywood Reporter interviewed Graham Yost, the TV series producer, about the ending and the tributes to Elmore Leonard.
You can read the interview via the below link:

As you seem to be a fan of Elmore Leonard, I defer to you for suggestions about what book(s) I ought to include on my "must read Leonard" list.
ReplyDeleteConfession: I have not seen _Justified_. I have apparently missed out on something special. Perhaps I can find it all on Netflix and view it from the beginning..
RT,
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm a huge fan of Elmore Leonard.
He wrote so many fine crime novels, but I would recommend the below novels to start off:
"City Primval: High Noon in Detroit"
"52 Pick Up"
"Get Shorty"
And one of his last novels, "Raylan," which features Raylan Givens, the Deputy U.S. Marshal character on TV's "Justified."
I think you'll enjoy ole Dutch.

Thank you, Paul. I hope ole Dutch will be just what the doctor ordered as I slink off into the shadows for a brief get well (or at least get better) hibernation.
DeleteRT,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy and get better, old shipmate.
Paul
RT,
ReplyDeleteDid you read my column on Elmore Leonard (the link is above)?
The column also features our friend Frank Wilson, who introduced Leonard at a speaking event in Philadelphia.
