Talking To Ralph Natale, Former Philadelphia Cosa Nostra Organized Crime Boss
I spoke today to Ralph Natale, the former boss of the Philadelphia Cosa Nostra organized crime family.
The unrepentant mob boss, who admits to seven murders, stated that he is a "born killer," which is why he said he rose to the top. He also stated that being a mob boss was "like being a king."
He spoke at length about South Philly, his criminal career and about the people he knew, such as Jimmy Hoffa, Angelo Bruno, Nicodemo "Little Nicky" Scarfo and other notable crime figures.
Ralph Natale is the author of a recent book called The Last Don Standing: The Secret Life of Mob Boss Ralph Natale (Thomas Dunn Books), along with Larry McShane and Dan Pearson.
I interviewed Ralph Natale for a piece that will appear in the Washington Times and I'll provide a link here to the piece when it comes out.
