In a previous post, I offered a look back at legendary former FBI Special Agent Joe Pistone, who went undercover in the Cosa Nostra Bonanno crime family in New York in the 1970s. I interviewed Pistone for my 2021 Crime Beat column in Philadelphia Weekly.
Pistone spoke of his FBI career and his podcast Deep Cover - The
Real Donnie Brasco with Philadelphia actor Leo Rossi.
In my following Crime Beat column, I interviewed Rossi (seen in the above photo on the right with Joe Vierelli on the left and Billy Crystal in the center), who spoke of the podcast with Joe Pistone, as well as his involvement with the crime film 10th & Wolf.
He also spoke about an upcoming crime and boxing film he wrote, Canvas Dancer, which is based on the life of South Philly Middleweight Boxing Champion Joey Giardello.
