I was crazy about the irreverent humor MAD magazine when I was a kid.
I recall they had a recurring feature in which they stated that the offered satirical cartoon and lyrics should be “sung to the tune of…,” usually a popular and well-known song.
So,
in the spirt of Christmas and MAD magazine, I’d like to offer the below, sung
to the tune of Santa Clause is Coming to Town:
You
better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why, Santa Clause is with the FBI
He's
making a list
He's checking it twice
He's going to find out
Who's naughty and nice, Santa Clause is with the
FBI
He
sees you when you're sleeping
He
knows when you're awake
He knows when you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake
So, you better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why, Santa Clause is with the FBI
You
better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why, Santa Clause is with the FBI
He's making a list
He's checking it twice
He's going to find out
Who's naughty and nice, Santa Clause is with the
FBI
And as I love military black humor, I recall this song during the Vietnam War, sung to the tune of Jingle Bells:
Jingle Bells
Mortar shells
Viet
Cong in the Grass
Take
your Merry Christmas
And
shove it up your ass
Just a little humor. Merry Christmas.
